Suitable in particular for fresh produce and sandwiches. Our 4-Liter Compostable Multi-Purpose Bags come 20 bags to the roll.
Multi-Purpose Compostable Bags can readily be used in kitchen, bath, garden & home. Suztain Everyday bags are 100% compostable. These Multi-Purpose Bags are certified with OK Compost HOME, which means the bags are certified as degradable in a home compost environment. Approved for Food Contact, they are GMO-Free and Micro Plastic free.
Our compostable bags allow moisture to penetrate the bag. An advantage for fruits and vegetables to delay the onset of rot, but it also means that you need to be aware of faster drying out time from frost when using them in the freezer.
The bags are slightly elastic and are suitable for packed lunches, packing vegetables etc. Note, hot or warm foods must be cooled before putting it in the bag.
Our Multi-Purpose Bags are translucent and not quite transparent, but you can readily write anywhere on them with permanent marker or pen to identify the contents easily. Each bag is also clearly printed with its liter content capacity directly on the bag so you can know which size you just grabbed from your drawer.
They are made of patented biodegradable plastic material (PLA) containing a.o. GMO-free maize. You can readily use them with a good conscience for both your health and the planet.
Our Suztain Everyday Multi-Purpose Bags are available in multiple sizes to accommodate all your needs.
To save on packaging, our compostable bags come with a banderole instead of a cardboard box
4L Size: 32 x 32 cm - 20 bags per roll.
CARE: Store below 6ºC. Note the “Best Before” date on the paper band, as compostable bags will deteriorate over time. Bags are not suitable for oven and microwave.
WARNING – As with traditional plastic bags, compostable bags are not toys.
NOTE: Some municipalities allow compostable bags of organic / green waste - ask locally. In other municipalities, disposal must be carried out with combustible residual waste. You must NOT dispose of compostable bioplastics with your normal plastic waste. Compostable plastic contaminates the recyclable plastic.
*The OK Compost HOME certification means that the product must be able to break down into water, CO2 and biomass. Whilst all compostable bags have a fossil content, the ability to compost has been tested and approved according to EU composting legislation requirements. The test for the HOME certification is done in an environment similiar to a well-maintained compost environment.
