We recognize there may be a need to have a reusable and washable face mask on occasions. You know it - you're going into a restaurant or into a room for just a moment. Then recyclable masks have a clear justification.
We have chosen to give you the best out there from French brand Chantelle. A dew/wetness test from TÆNK (The Danish Consumer Council) places the Chantelle mask as No. 1!
To read (in Danish) the TÆNK test for face masks from October 2020:
Chantelle was tested together with Wolford masks, with Chantelle getting the highest score. Here are excerpts from the TÆNK test:
Chantelle fabric bandage soft 01
Rating 64% - Good
Chantelle Soft 01 is a cloth face mask without a nose clip. The filtration ability after the first wash is 73 percent for small particles, and 89 percent for larger particles, which is nice. The price of the fabric face masks is 36 dkk each, but if you buy a package with 5 that makes it one of the cheaper fabric face masks in the test.
A great advantage of the Chantelle masks is that the straps can be adjusted by a pull loop allowing them to readily conform to fit both large and small faces. And the stretchy fabric provides for a close-fitting mask.
It is still our recommendation to use single-use disposable masks in situations with many people in a small area, eg in transport situations. The filtration with disposable masks is still higher than even the best reusable masks, but for short use or in situations with a very low contact surface, this best rated reusable mask is an option.
